Requiscat In Pace: Edward V. Stackpoole, S.J.

Father Edward V. Stackpoole, S.J., died peacefully Friday, July 18, at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center, Los Gatos, California. He was 82 years old. Born in San Francisco, California, on September 21, 1925, Ed entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos on February 10, 1943. He pronounced final vows on August 15, 1960, at the College of St. John Berchmans, Pullach, Germany. May he rest in peace.

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2008 Catalogus USA, pgs. 37-38) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Ed’s soul.
