Requiscat In Pace: Martin L. Brewer, S.J.

Father Martin L. Brewer, S.J., died Thursday, March 22, 2007, at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California. He was 86 years old. Born in Oakland, California, on November 3, 1920, Marty entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate, Los Gatos, California, on August 14, 1941. He pronounced final vows on March 19, 1977, at Our Lady of Sorrows in Santa Barbara, California. May he rest in peace.

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2007 Catalogus USA, pg. 47) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Marty’s soul.
