Requiscat In Pace: George M. Twigg-Porter, S.J.

Father George M. Twigg-Porter, S.J., died Friday, September 8, 2006, at Regis Infirmary at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, California, of respiratory failure. He was 85 years old. Born in Ealing, England, on April 20, 1921, Twigg entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate, Los Gatos, on August 14, 1940. He pronounced final vows on November 24, 1979, at the University of San Francisco, San Francisco, California. May he rest in peace.

All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass, and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2006 Catalogus USA, pg. 37-38) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of Twigg’s soul.
