Father George E. Krivanek, S.J., died peacefully Sunday, October 12, at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center, Los Gatos, California, after a long illness. He was 81 years old. Born in Glendale, California, on September 14, 1927, George entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos on July 30, 1945. May he rest in peace.
All members of the California Province and those applied to it are to offer or celebrate one first intention Mass and members of the Jesuit Community at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center and those attached to it but living elsewhere (cf. 2008 Catalogus USA, pgs. 37-38) are to offer or celebrate one additional first intention Mass for the repose of George’s soul.

October 9, 2019 — Father Stephen F. Pisano, SJ, Emeritus Professor of Old Testament exegesis and textual criticism at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, Rome, died in the Jesuit infirmary in Rome October 7, 2019 after a brief illness.
