Story

Advent is a season of waiting, something we have all become very familiar with during this tumultuous year. We are waiting for things to get better, to return to normal. We are waiting for a vaccine so we can reconnect with loved ones. Most importantly, though, we are waiting for the birth of our Savior.

It is only 26 days from the first Sunday of Advent — November 29 — to Christmas Day. What are you going to do to mark this time as we wait for Christ’s birth? Please consider joining the Jesuits West family for an Advent celebration involving parishes from across our province.

On each of the four Sundays of Advent and on Christmas Eve, a different Jesuit parish, and one chapel, will celebrate Mass not only for its own community but for the friends and supporters of the Jesuits West Province. We will start in Spokane, Washington, with stops in Portland, Oregon; Phoenix; San Francisco; and Seattle.

Let us spend Advent together as the Jesuits West family. Details about our liturgies follow. Please join us this Advent season as we wait in joyful hope together.
